The new Driveshaft Shop 1-Piece Aluminum Driveshaft is now available for the LX (Charger / 300 / Magnum) platform WITH A 2009+ GETRAG DIFF SWAP. This single shaft is the same design that we have been using in most modern muscle cars for the last two years and is a proven, trouble-free shaft for these cars.

This shaft will replace the stock 2-piece shaft and eliminate the disconnected feeling you get from the stock shaft with its Giubo (rubber drive) and soft hanger bearing. The stock shaft has to have the Giubos twist, then the hanger bearing moves up, and only after all this happens does the car start to move. With this new aluminum shaft, which uses a 1350 joint on one end and a custom CV on the other, the car will feel more connected and more athletic. The response from the gas pedal will be more immediate and will improve 60ft times at the track.

This shaft requires a small spacer installed under the front mount of the differential (simple—just remove the bolt and slip it in) to ensure clearance on the rear section of the shaft. It is balanced like all shafts on our 9500 RPM balancer, so you know it’s done to the best standards available today.

Special Note: The Rear Subframe / Cradle Lock-out Kit must be installed on the car prior to installing the Driveshaft Shop 1-Piece Driveshaft. Any damage to the driveshaft (or any subsequent damage) caused by failing to properly reinforce the rear cradle and limit movement will void any and all warranty provided by The Driveshaft Shop.
