We developed the MAXIM aluminum knob that is not only lightweight and great looking but also fits into the palm of your hand comfortably. Building on the success and ergonomic shape of the MAXIM knob, the 130R knob adds a bit more character. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe 130R knob is machined from a solid piece of Delrin which is not only extremely strong but heat resistant, so you won’t torch or freeze your hand as temperatures change. Directly threaded, this knob fits all Honda threaded shifters. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e“130R” is represented in a few meaningful ways. Named after the famous 130R corner at Suzuka Circuit in Japan (one of our favorite circuits in the world) the curvature is also radiused at 130* giving a physical meaning as well.\u003cbr\u003eThe 130R knob is wider, taller, and slightly larger overall compared to the MAXIM knob. Each knob is then chemically etched then blued, then we laser etch the fitment size and logos with a YAG laser. The opening is enlarged making it the perfect knob for the Honda S2000 or similar shifters. The countersunk version weighs approximately 461g. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eStandard\u003c\/strong\u003e - this is the same knob as the aluminum version, just made in stainless. We wanted to develop a knob that was not only lightweight and great looking but also fit into the palm of your hand comfortably. After countless designs and 3d prints later, we chose the overall shape based on the best ergonomic design from all of the concepts we had developed so far.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Maxim Shift knob is machined from a solid 6061 aluminum billet round bar in a four-axis lathe. We then treat the surface with a proprietary sandblasting media to get a perfect surface finish. Next, it is treated to a 3 step anodizing process. Finally, we laser etch the fitment size and logos with a YAG laser that evaporates the dye from the anodize resulting in a crisp white logo that is subtly placed on the knob so not to detract from the fantastic finish.
