			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Here is a quick update from our last trip to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for our first Import Face Off of the 2012 season. After traveling almost 2,500 miles we arrived in Las Vegas Saturday morning excited about the upcoming events. This was our first event with our new engine management system in the Competition Clutch Outlaw Civic. Two rounds of qualifying were held Saturday evening for the Outlaw class and another two Sunday morning. With ten cars participating in the class we were pleased that James&#8217; fastest qualifying time of 8.74 @ 169.89 mph was good enough to grant him the number one qualifying position.</p>

<p>We knew that first round eliminations was not going to be a walk in the park. Our friendly rival Reid Lunde from Kaizenspeed had put up impressive numbers during testing earlier this year but had been suffering clutch issues and was only able to complete one qualifying pass. Both cars came off the line hard and it was obvious that this was going to be a race. Unfortunately around half track Kaizenspeed was heading toward the wall due to a broken axle and was forced to let off resulting in a first round win for SpeedFactory.</p>

<p>We had a bye run for second round eliminations which put us directly into the semi finals competing against Joe Sawyer of Locash Racing. The Competition Clutch car had been performing well all event regardless of the high temp and poor DA. With an impressive launch, it looked like this was going to be the best run this car had seen yet. About three quarters down the track James went to throw it into fourth gear and the transmission wouldn&#8217;t engage causing the car to coast through the finish line. We lost the round with 9.4 second pass to Locash&#8217;s 9.0.</p>

<p>Our All Motor Pro Civic piloted by Joel Sipes came out strong with consistent runs in the 10.50&#8242;s-10.60&#8242;s. First round of qualifying resulted in a broken axle at the line sending it back to the pits for a quick repair. Joel came out ready for second qualifier knowing that he needed a solid run to obtain the number one qualifying position and pulled out a 10.603 @ 127.28 mph. The top seat was his.</p>
<p>First round eliminations Joel was up against the Supremacy Racing Civic. Since this was his first run in competition in the last six months, we were pleased when he took the win with a 10.57 @ 126.86 mph to Supremacy&#8217;s 11.029 @ 122.77 mph placing Joel in the semi-finals against Go Power Motorsports.</p>

<p>Two and a half hours later, due to several oil downs on the track, the AMP Civic was ready to line up once again. The car came off the line strong and immediately had taken the lead. Joel threw it into 3rd gear and lengthened the gap resulting in yet another round won with a 10.57 @ 126.86 mph.</p>
<p>Joel was once again in the finals for the second year in a row, back to defend his title. Up against the seasoned racer from TB Motorworx it was apparent that Joel was going to need to cut a strong light. Off the line the cars were neck and neck and Joel started to pull into the lead crossing the finish line with a 10.515 @ 128.48 to TB&#8217;s 11.50 @ 118.23.</p>

<p>Overall we had a great weekend and are coming home with a lot of great data. Can&#8217;t wait to head to Woodburn, OR for the next IFO event May 27th.</p>

<p id="yui_3_2_0_5_1336753166246659">Precision Turbo and Engine has added a new model to its line of Class Legal turbochargers with the PT6785 CEA which is capable of supporting up to 1,000 horsepower.</p>
<p id="yui_3_2_0_5_1336753166246762">Part  number PTB705-6785B, the PT6785 CEA turbo features PTE&#8217;s air cooled,  dual ceramic ball bearing center housing rotating assembly (CHRA), a  maximum bore dimension of 67.8mm on the compressor side, and an 85mm  exducer turbine wheel with an MSRP of $3,899.99.</p>
<p id="yui_3_2_0_5_1336753166246768">Precision&#8217;s  PT6785 CEA comes with a CNC-machined Competition Engineered  Aerodynamics (CEA) 2618-forged aluminum compressor wheel and a divided  T4-flange turbine housing in either 1.12 A/R or 1.28 A/R with a 4 5/8&#8243;  V-Band discharge to give the user the ability to fine-tune the turbo&#8217;s  performance to best suit their needs and particular setup.</p>
<p id="yui_3_2_0_5_1336753166246777">Additionally,  the PT6785 CEA turbocharger is approved for use at Maryland  International Raceway (MIR) in the Super Street and True Street classes,  as well as the OGS Sport Front Wheel Drive class, among others. The  cutting edge technology of the CEA compressor wheel is used to provide  greater efficiency and faster transient response, resulting in less  turbo lag, than traditional cast wheels of the same size which is ideal  for competition purposes.</p>
