This is the car that pioneered the ever popular vitara piston builds. It has held and broken all power, trapspeed, and E.T records for a vitara piston’d D16 for many years now, and continually pushes the boundaries for a street class turbo D16. In 2010 it shattered many records again, becoming the worlds first street class D16 to break into the 9′s and quickest/fastest/most powerful vitara piston’d D16 with a blistering 9.65 @ 153.8mph blast down the strip at well over 40+psi of boost!
With the continued gracious support of several sponsors (Golden Eagle, Bisimoto Engineering, Arias Pistons, and Competition Clutch), we have finally stepped it up this year beyond the stock sleeved/vitara builds of the past.
Stay tuned for further progress/results on the 2011 build as we push farther into the low 9 second range. The new build is a 76mm o-ringed G.E. Sleeved block with custom Arias pistons, Bisimoto 3.6 camshaft, and SpeedFactory D2B transmission conversion.
We are going to campaign this car in the BOTI Street-Comp and IFO FWD classes this year, and are shooting for low 9′s at 160+mph.
